A few interesting fashion and law-related things popped into my inbox in the last week so I thought I’d share with y’all.
- Did y’all hear that Macy’s is closing 100 stores? Honestly I think it’s a good idea. Online shopping is convenient, accessible, and it’s not going anywhere. Macy’s needs to f0cus on it’s online game, in my opinion. I very rarely even go to the website because it’s so hard to navigate and it’s just overwhelming. What do you guys think?
- Alexander Wang was just awarded $90 million in a counterfeiting case involving people offering counterfeit goods for sale and using the Alexander Wang brand name. More here.
- Nasty Gal was sued by Pamela love for allegedly copying her jewelry designs, including a five spike earring, dagger rosary, and talon cuff. More here.
Now it’s time to talk about something a little happier.
Oh baby, this black and white striped romper is a good one.
It’s so chic and just the right amount of sexy. Plus it’s a blank canvas that would look so good with anything. A pop of color, neutrals, all black, this romper can do it all. I’ve had this Leah Alexandra necklace for a while, and I’ve always loved it. It was the perfect little touch to spice up my (lack of) cleavage haha. The exact style is no longer available, but I found a few similar options here and here. I luckily stumbled upon the wrapped cuff that I’m wearing while I was rushing through Nordstrom one day. I had about 5 minutes to run in and as I was speed-walking through the store when I spotted the cuff. For less than $30, how could I NOT get it? Next up, these shoooooes. They go with EVERYTHING. Literally, everything. They’ve become my go-to the last few weeks because they’re comfortable and I’ve really been digging their retro feel. Also, this clutch is fantastic and perfectly patriotic. That romper is adorbs! I heard about Macy’s closing 100 stores, I think its a good thing! So many of them I’ve been in recently are super run down and need an overhaul.

Omg this romper is just precious! I’d wear this like everyday! I heard about the Macy’s stores and while I think the online avenue is great I’m sad that all those people will lose their jobs. That’s kind of crazy! It’s true though that their website does need some updating though.

I’m a Nordies girl, but totally agree that everything is about ecommerce these days. Overhead costs are way lower if you can push individuals online, instead of in-store. Love love love this romper!

Such a cute romper! I couldn’t wear this one with out a camisole or something… I have the opposite problem with the cleavage. 😉
I also agree with the Macy’s statement. Their website is about as nice to look at as their catalog, and I rarely go into the department store, or the mall in general for that matter. There’s not even a Nordstrom store near me, but that’s where I’ve switched to for most of my department store purchase- including beauty.
