I remember the last time culottes were trendy - it was when I was in high school. I remember getting a few different pairs and thinking they were the coolest thing since sliced bread. And then I remember a few years later, when I was in college, looking at pictures of myself in these culottes and questioning why my mom and my friends allowed to me wear them - I looked like an oompa loompa. Y’all already know I’m 5’2″ (rounding up) and culottes have a tendency to make me look like I’m 2’5″ with tree trunks for legs. As a general rule, I only like to wear clothes that I think are flattering on my body. That’s just how I am. I’ll wear something oversized and boxy every now and then, but there has to be some shape to it otherwise I look like a blob. Well culottes are back again and I can’t decide how I feel about it. Of course they look flawless on Gigi Hadid, Karlie Kloss, Kendall Jenner, Candice Swanepoel, etc., but those bitches look flawless in everything. Well, I gave in and decided to give them a whirl.
