Hope y’all have had a great weekend!
Today was a nightmare.
I spent my entire day at urgent care because I hit my hand on box while doing box jumps on Friday (uggggh). To be fair, I went to more than 3 different urgent care facilities, but omg y’all it took 4.5 hours of my day. And honestly, it was a total waste of time. Because of where I hit it, the treatment is the same whether it’s a fracture of bruise. To top it off, my phone DIED when I got to the clinic. So the productive Sunday that I planned for (returns, answer emails, blog posts) did not happen. UGH. Ok, thanks for letting me rant, I’ll stop whining now.
Tonight I am going to a discussion with the attorneys that represented Steven Avery (Making a Murderer)!! If you haven’t seen Making a Murderer, go watch it NOW. It’s a documentary about the justice system, and one man’s case(s) in general, which takes place over a 10 year period. It’s SO good you guys. Getting to see Dean Strang and Jerry Buting speak is going to totally make up for my waste of today! I’ll let y’all know how it is.
I’m a sucker for a white blazer and floral shorts. It screams sophisticated summer chic. And let me tell ya, it’s hard to look chic in 90+ degree weather in Dallas. These floral shorts are so light and breezy, they are going to be a go-to of mine this summer. There’s nothing worse than tight shorts in the summer when you’re at a bar sipping margs, it’s 100 degrees outside, and the backs of your legs are literally sticking to the chair. And this white blazer, swoon. The cut is everything. It’s so, so flattering. The back is longer than the front and gives it a little dramatic effect, which I love. I’ve been wearing it over everything lately for work. This gorgeous pink bag is from Mel Boteri. I love the adorable pink tassel! Courtney Kerr sported the same version in blue. Everything else is linked. Hope you love! Xo, AL
