Fratelli Piccini Experience at Hotel Portrait Firenze

August 9, 2016

I swear, you guys are going to be so sick of all my wedding talk soon, but I just found out about the most romantic getaway experience (find the original article here) and had to share! It would be so perfect for a honeymoon, to celebrate an engagement, or just a romantic vacation.

I’ve always wanted to go to Italy, especially beautiful Florence, to experience the food, fashion (duh), beautiful scenery, and history. With a trip to the Lungarno Collection’s (5-Star!) Hotel Portrait Firenze, you can do exactly that with the Fratelli Piccini Experience.

Fratelli Piccini is Florence’s oldest jewelry shop, and as part of the Experience, you get a private visit of the shop’s laboratory on Ponte Vecchio, cocktails while overlooking the Arno River, the Uffizi Gallery, and Piazzale Michelangelo, and a dinner prepared by Michelin star chef, Peter Brunel. Oh, and you get to do all of this in style – wearing Fratelli Piccini’s creations and a Patek Philippe watch.

You will also get to visit Fratelli Piccini and actually watch the master jewelers at work. This is one thing that fascinates me. It’s so incredible to watch people take things and transform them into something completely different and beautiful. Like on Project Runway, I am always so amazed by the designers taking a piece of fabric and turning into a beautiful garment.

And to top it off, you get to CREATE YOUR OWN PIECE OF JEWELRY for your loved one. How amazing is this?

The Fratelli Piccini Experience is so unique and romantic. To be able to tour the oldest jewelry store in Florence and actually make a piece of jewelry is incredible, and to be standing in the same spot where jewelers have been creating beautiful art for literally over 100 years blows my mind. The Experience is sure to be the trip of a lifetime with your loved one, full of delicious food and breathtaking views. I want to go! How about y’all? Xo, AL
