Since it is almost the 4th of July, I thought I’d show you how I wore red, white, and blue to work without looking like I was trying too hard (hopefully? You guys be the judge!). I started with my favorite flared red pants from Express, seen here. As an alternative, this awesome skirt would also work perfectly. In fact, you could just take this whole outfit and add a navy blazer and/or accessories and/or shoes and you’d be good to go! Ok, back to the red pants. I wanted to wear white and blue with my red pants, but not in an obvious Uncle Sam kind of way. So I chose this baby blue plaid button-up. Adding black shoes balances the outfit out so that it’s both festive enough for the holiday, but not so over-the-top that I can’t wear it again next week. And it’d be so easy to get off work and go straight to the 4th of July BBQ. Just trade out the red pants and heels for white cut-offs and sandals for a super cute All-American look.
